This notice explains how FONTEA LTD uses personal information on fontea.co.uk and on our trade catalogue at catalogue.fontea.co.uk. Cookie details are in our Cookie notice.

Who we are

What we collect and why

Contact form

If you send a message through the contact form, we receive your name, email address, message and, if you give it, your company. We use them to reply to your enquiry. The form is delivered to us by email.

Trade catalogue accounts

If you register or sign in on the catalogue, we handle the details you give us, such as your email address and password, to create and run your account and send your confirmation email. The cookies used to keep the service secure and keep you signed in are listed in the Cookie notice.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the marketing site and the catalogue are used. It runs only if you allow analytics in our cookie choices. It uses cookies and sends information about your visit, such as the pages you view and technical details of your browser and device, to Google. The two sites share one analytics property and its cookies, so a visit that moves between them can be recognised as the same browser. If you refuse, or later withdraw, analytics is not used. You can withdraw at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. We do not use Google advertising features and we do not send your contact-form or account details to Google Analytics.

Google reCAPTCHA

Google reCAPTCHA runs on the contact form to distinguish people from automated abuse and filter spam. Google receives information from your browser when it runs; see Google's Privacy Policy.

Google processing and transfers

When Google Analytics or reCAPTCHA runs, Google may process your IP address along with the other information described above. Google may process this information outside the UK and EEA, including in the United States, under its own safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. Hosting and delivery

The site is served over HTTPS by a third-party content delivery network, so your browser connects to that provider when you visit. The home page also loads third-party scripting libraries from a third-party CDN, so your browser requests them from that service.

Sharing

We share information only with the service providers described above, for the purposes described. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, including any legal, accounting or record-keeping requirements. Retention of analytics data is controlled in our Google Analytics settings and by Google.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for access to your personal information, and ask us to correct or erase it, restrict our use of it, or stop using it in certain circumstances. Where we rely on your consent, as for analytics, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise these rights or make a data-protection complaint, email [email protected] or use our contact form.
